With the mission of making global investing a breeze for investors around the world, we are looking for a knowledgeable and skillful Director with the following experience:
- Act as the Director and Responsible Manager for our licensed entity in Vanuatu.
- Ensure our business activities (mainly CFD, Securities, and futures) comply with all relevant regulations and guidelines issued by the regulatory authorities.
- Prepare and ensure full and timely regulatory reporting as required by Vanuatu Financial Services Commission (VFSC).
- Implement, review and enhance the workflow and SOP in accordance with the changes in the regulations and business requirements.
- Responsible for overall day-to-day operations of the securities settlement/corporate actions/remittance to ensure all the instructions are executed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Advise functions and business units on the regulatory compliance and risk management related to the transaction settlement cycle.
- Perform daily reconciliation for trade and position of the client/broker/exchange and prepare the daily funding requirement.
- Liaise with counterparts on all the settlement issues and follow up on any discrepancies.
- Provide support to both internal counterparts and external clients on regular and ad-hoc queries.
- Ensure all the appropriate controls are in place to comply with the regulations and internal policy.
- Participate in projects and implement new business/system enhancement.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks assigned by the management from time to time as required.
To succeed in this role, we are looking for candidates fulfilling the following requirements:
- Min. 5 years of experience in the field of securities, forex, CFDs, derivatives, commodities, futures and options.
- Must be residing in Vanuatu or at least 6 consecutive months per year living in Vanuatu.
- Willing to relocate to Vanuatu is highly preferable.
- Must fulfill the fit and proper guidelines, as published by the Vanuatu Financial Services Commission (VFSC).
- Candidates with a Degree in Law or Finance, or other relevant fields will have an added advantage.
- Well-versed in the rules and regulations of Vanuatu Financial Services Commission (VFSC).
- Good analytical and logical mindset.
- Excellent presentation and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
- Mandarin proficiency is a plus.
- Skilled in Excel and other reporting tools is an added advantage.
