Job Description
Introduction
The goal of the Vanuatu Health Program (VHP) is to support the Ministry of Health (MoH) achieve the health objectives of the National Sustainable Development Plan (NSDP) and its commitment to the delivery of health services demanded at national, provincial and local levels for a healthy, secure and productive population. The end of program outcomes (EOPOs) are:
(a) Ministry of Health (MoH) senior staff lead continuous improvement and strengthened accountability of the Vanuatu health sector; and
(b) MoH corporate services, public health and clinic services staff increase delivery of equitable, accessible and better quality essential health services
Information about position
Support the MoH and the VHP to oversight the Direct Funding Agreements (DFAs) between DFAT and the MoH including: the Health Sector Program (established in 2014); the Vanuatu Health Program (established in 2020); Cyclone Pam Recovery Program; Ambae Response Package; COVD-19 and TC Harold Recovery Package; and any other Australian health funds as directed.
Provide timely and accurate advice and support to DFAT on the progress of the health DFAs.
