Short Term Contract – Events Coordinator
For Maewo Food Tourism and Agritourism Festival 2023
The Ministry of Trade, Tourism, Commerce and Ni-Vanuatu Business (MTTCNVB) through the Department of Tourism is seeking the services of a Coordinator to assist the Department of Tourism plan, coordinate and implement the overall delivery of the Food Tourism and Agritourism Festival (FTAF), hosted in Maewo Penama Province. This event will complement the current objectives of the Vanuatu Sustainable Tourism Policy and themes of the Vanuatu Sustainable Tourism Strategy, enhancing rural tourism and dispersal of proportionate income to local communities.
The successful applicant will possess the following:
Professional Knowledge, Skills and Experiences:
- Proven track record of organizing high- visible entertaining events or festivals
- Demonstrated strong, coordination and facilitation skills
- Ethical Values, Demonstrates strong ethics and Integrity
- Organizational Awareness: Demonstrate corporate knowledge and sound judgement,
Information and Communication: Facilitate and encourages open communication in the team,
and communicate effectively - Analytical skills in problem solving and sound judgement
- Demonstrated experience in managing sound communications strategies
- Strong team and work well under pressure
- Proficiency in spoken and written English and Bislama is essential
