Job Description
- Job profile: Coordinator of the Language Centre attached to the Tertiary Education directorate
Training, coordination, and supervision of lecturers
– Coordinate and supervise the academic team made up of 6 FLE-ALE lecturers
– Coordinate the reflection on training programs to be developed
– Identify training needs to develop an appropriate training action plan
– Organize the schedule of courses by level, the schedule of lecturers in line with the secretariat of the main administration of bilingual higher education
Courses, level tests, exams, certifications
– Teach at all levels (A1 to C2) part-time
– Manage the assessment tests of new students
– Coordinate the organization of exams and certifications
Counselling and orientation
– Ensure the academic follow-up of the students
– Organize consultation meetings with lecturers and the Directorate of Tertiary Education
– Solve potential educational problems
Pedagogical monitoring and innovation
– Participate in the dynamic innovation of academic projects
– Develop and update academic content
– Participate in the reflection on the inclusion of Bislama and vernacular languages in the future National Bilingual University
- Selection criteria
– Qualifications: Master degree or equivalent
– Experience: 3 years’ experience in teaching FLE / ALE
– Specific skills: Proficiency in office tools (Office pack, Linux …); writing skills
– Skills in animation and team management
– Communication skills / interpersonal skills: Excellent interpersonal skills
– Profile sought: Flexible and available, good analytical and problem solving skills are needed
– Languages: the candidate must be trilingual (Bislama, French, English) both written and oral
One year renewable local contract
Annual salary: 2,400,000 VT
