Full-Time COMPLIANCE OFFICER
Job Description
A leading financial trading company based in Vanuatu is seeking a Compliance officer to ensure that company complies with its outside regulatory and legal requirements as well as internal policies and by laws.
Main responsibilities:
- Develop and implement an effective legal compliance program.
- Create sound internal controls and monitor adherence to them.
- Draft and revise company policies.
- Proactively audit processes, practices and documents to identify weaknesses.
- Evaluate business activities to assess compliance risk.
- Collaborate with external auditors when needed.
- Educate and train employees on regulations and industry practices.
- Keep abreast of internal standards and business goals.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of experience in similar field.
- Bachelor’s degree in any field.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Experience in risk management.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of legal requirements and controls (e.g. Anti-Money Laundering, or AML).
- Familiarity with industry practices and professional standards.
- Integrity and professional ethics.
Work location: Vanuatu, Port Vila, Kumul highway, Government Building
