Purpose:
To Ensure that the mining, quarry, petroleum and geothermal Acts are adhered to.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all mining, quarry, petroleum an geothermal companies /developers comply with relevant legislation and license/permit conditions,
• Responsible for providing legal assistance to the License & Tenement Registrar where necessary on matters related to mining , quarry, geothermal and petroleum activities.
• Assist the Tenement Registrar to develop relevant, policies and regulations for the effective and sustainable management of mineral resources in the country.
• Carry out consultations with stakeholders for the development of relevant legislation and awareness campaigns on the legislation.
• Carry out other relevant duties as directed by the Tenement Registrar or the Commissioner of Mines.

 

• Qualification: Degree
• Special Business Education: Law or any related field.
• Experience: 3-5 years work experience

Job Category: Government & council. Job Type: Full-Time. Job Salary: 1,500,000 - 2,000,000.
