Full-Time COMPLIANCE MANAGER
Job Description
About the role:
We are looking for an experienced Compliance Officer to join our Vanuatu team. You will be a detail-oriented individual in regulatory compliance and risk management activities.
The purpose of this role is to monitor that we are conducting our business in accordance with the rules of regulators and exchanges, as well as our internal policies. You will monitor and assess compliance, market integrity and conduct risks, and develop mitigating actions and take a risk-based approach. This role is a permanent full-time role.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review regulatory documents, ensuring regulatory obligations are met;
- Provide business lines with professional advice on compliance and regulatory related issues, including in relation to financial markets and AML/CTF (new & existing products and services, client on-boarding);
- Assist with the reviewing and implementation of risk and compliance framework.
- Develop policies, procedures and compliance plans to ensure compliance with rules and regulations;
- Provide relevant compliance training to staff, ensure a culture of compliance within the company;
- Perform compliance monitoring, reporting and risk assessments;
- Assist with the development and improvement of systems and controls along with compliance procedures;
- Assist with marketing approvals, including but not limited to financial promotions, client communications and website content;
- Prepare compliance reports for senior management and external regulatory bodies;
- Responsible for day-to-day processes within the Compliance department including requests from Head and regional offices.
Skills required:
- Tertiary qualification in a related discipline
- 5+ years of experience in a compliance role, ideally at a CFD/FX provider or stockbroker, financial markets
- Knowledge of risk management and compliance disciplines
- Knowledge of regulations including financial market operating rules, AML/CTF, and privacy
- Proven ability to perform in a high-performing team
- Good presentation skills and ability to communicate and interact comfortably with different stakeholders
- Attention to detail, accuracy and analytical skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills are a must
- You will enjoy taking ownership of your work and being held accountable
- Ability to focus and drive change effectively
