Full-Time RE-ADVERTISEMENT OF COMMUNICATION, BRANDING AND EVENTS COORDINATOR

Job Description

Vodafone Vanuatu is seeking a Communication, Branding and Events Coordinator to be based in Port Vila.

Marketing Department:
Marketing Department is dedicated in ensuring the Vodafone brand awareness, monitoring the market and identifying and developing appropriate products to be launched.

Mission:
The mission is to participate in the creation and conceptualization, layout and campaign, outdoor Branding Management and Vodafone events. It includes the coordination with the different suppliers and partners for production of communication supports to ensure the quantitative and qualitative visibility of the brand (flyers, posters, tags, billboard, magazine, display, SMS broadcast, goodies…). The mission is also to organize the media booking and the communication plan strategies. It ensures the communication inside and outside the company.

Communication Responsibility:

  • Ensure internal communication on events, promotion, management notices, and information.
  • Review all releases for outside and inside the company: press communication, TV & Radio, speeches.
  • Prepare Media planning advertisement and coordinate with newspaper, radio and TV.
  • Prepare Press release on regular basis.
  • Liaising a good relation with Outside Media partners collaborates and use them strategically on time- to-time basis.
  • Prepare and update the marketing animation roadmap by developing a communication plan and developing a communication strategy, based on the Product Manager’s need.
  • Maintain up to date the communication materials: flyers, posters, tags, leaflets in accordance with related departments.
  • Manage goodies and marketing equipment and collaterals stock level and coordinate new order with suppliers across Vanuatu and internationally.
  • Manage specific marketing projects on sponsorship and related activities to enhance brand value in the market.

Branding responsibility:

  • To take charge of the Outdoor branding work as per the company’s guidelines.
  • Ensure Vodafone’s brand presence been done always in a positive way and protection of the interest of the company is the main priority.
  • Taking care of the branding work – retail branding, hoarding, billboards etc. with the supplier and maintain a strong relation with them to get the best value always.
  • Checking all the brand communication prior to the execution at marketing level.
  • Manage internal branding and communication relation with core team for SMS marketing.
  • Looking after the other revenue line and generate revenue from bulk SMS marketing and media marketing.

Event and Sponsorship Management:

  • Taking the charge of the Vodafone’s internal & external events all around Vanuatu.
  • Managing product launch events in-house and externally.
  • Responsibility of the events from scratch to execution within deadlines.
  • Managing the sponsorship request within budget.
  • Planning sponsorship to enhance brand visibility of Vodafone.
  • Managing the budget for events and sponsorship in a smart way.
  • New Innovative event creation to drive a positive brand value for Vodafone.
  • Maintain the event cost below budget and getting the maximum exposure with the same.

Functional relations (interactivity):
The Communication, Branding and Events Coordinator will interact with the rest of the marketing department, with the commercial teams (communication and marketing supports), with the financial department (to follow up part of the marketing budget) and with the public (media companies for events, press releases, advertisement).

Required knowledge and experience:
1. Qualifications (education/diplomas):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business studies or related discipline.

2. Skills

  • Excellent oral and written skills in English and Bislama. French is also favorable
  • Knowledge in communication phasing
  • Knowledge in Branding
  • Good understanding of media plan and communication plan
  • Understanding of telecom technology and market
  • Understanding of market sizing and segmentation
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and communication skills
  • Excellent reporting skills
  • Delivery oriented on schedule and according to timeline set.
