At 83 Islands Distillery, as a cleaner, you’re pivotal for food safety.
Your tasks include:
Sanitation : Clean areas like the production floor and equipment, ensuring all surfaces are free from harmful microorganisms.
Cross-contamination : Use separate cleaning tools for different areas to avoid transferring pathogens.
Waste management : Safely dispose of cleaning waste, ensuring no contamination in the rum-making process.
Chemical safety : Handle cleaning solutions safely and understand their storage.
Personal hygiene : Regularly wash hands and use protective gear like gloves and safety glasses when needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
For success in this role:
Language Skills :Understand simple instructions and communicate effectively. Must be bilingual in English and either Bislama or French. Trilingual is a plus.
Reasoning : Apply logical understanding to written or oral instructions. Be methodical, detail-oriented, and remain calm under stress.
Physical Demands : Handle strenuous cleaning tasks. Must be capable of lifting, climbing, and standing. Regular activities include sitting, using hands, reaching, and communicating.
