Save the Children Vanuatu is implementing a Child Protection project with support through Save the Children New Zealand. The Project runs for 12 months and is focusing on Strengthening Child Protection Referral Pathways in Vanuatu. The Ministry of Justice and Community Services (MoJCS) will be the main driver of the project implementation at the National and all 6 provinces of Vanuatu

Where you come in:
In this maximum-term position, based in Port Vila, you will provide strategic analysis, program management and operational support of all program requirements.

You will make an impact by:

  • Assist in managing the implementation and development of the Child Protection project• Timely delivery and quality output for the program
  • Ensuring that the program is effectively designed, budgeted, implemented and monitored.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with donors and stakeholders within the program

…Your experience in project coordination roles, expertise in Child Protection programming managing, proven knowledge in understanding of the Convention of the Rights of the Child and other international human rights law instruments and standards and understanding child protection and child protection case management and child protection strengthening system and knowledge of the Vanuatu community and culture and a creative approach to strategy will see the delivery of the program ensuring it performs to the highest standard. You have good negotiation and problem-solving skills. You have a positive relationship with finance and monitoring. You are self-motivated, flexible and driven to see results.

This role requires:

  • Tertiary qualification/s in relevant and related discipline.
  • Exceptional project management skills and experience.
  • Strong financial understanding.
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills (inc. report writing).
