We are seeking a Chief Technology Officer to lead the company’s technological development and to direct the strategic design, acquisition, management, and implementation of an enterprise-wide technology infrastructure. As well as monitor and analyze technology and trends that could improve the company’s products and performance.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy for technology platforms, partnerships and external relationships as well as building and managing the technology team
  • Establish the company’s technical vision and leads all aspects of the company’s technological development, including technological synergies across the Group
  • Explore, establish and implement new technologies that yield competitive advantage
  • Develop technical aspects of the company’s strategy to ensure alignment with its business goals
  • Lead the company in anticipating and reacting to major technology changes, including spectral efficiency and management
  • Devise technology roadmap for the business, establish new generation networks based on cloud and virtualization platforms across the group
  • Responsible to lead rapid development team to the completion of design and development under aggressive timelines
  • Define standards, policies, procedures, measures, and organizational enhancements to meet company goals for the Product & Technology Management group
  • Develop and monitor capital expenditure (CAPEX), operational expenditure (OPEX), budgets and forecasts
  • Establish key performance indicators for the technology platforms and for the entire network support department
  • Mentor staff members in order to assist them in future growth in career and technology
  • Review technical designs created for conformance to development standards, appropriate design choices Chief Technology Officer
  • Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations and decisions on inclusion into acceptable standards & development methodologies and product architecture
  • Lead the execution of technology strategy for technology platforms, partnerships, and external relationships
  • Build and manage a top-flight technology team and oversee research and development, as well as project management
  • Utilize ingenuity and inventive thinking to evaluate options for design and deriving the best solutions based on sound analytical judgment, team input and the customers’ best interest

Requirements

  • Certified tertiary qualifications with Degree in a related area as standard including project management, with at least 5 -7 years’ experience in a senior/executive management role
  • Masters of Business Administration (MBA) will be advantageous
  • Previous working experience in a company engaged in telecommunications, particularly in mobile communications would be considered as a distinct advantage
  • A proven track record of exceptional performance in a competitive and preferably a technology-oriented business.
  • Technical skillset and Advanced ICT Knowledge is a must
  • Proven ability to work with Boards of Directors and shareholders.
  • Must possess the ability to quickly adapt and assimilate into a values-based organization model.
  • Ability to manage and lead a dynamic and highly skilled team responsible for a diverse range of Telecommunications and Core products & solutions.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to interact with diverse business partners, the media, the principal office, other Group personnel, clients, and staff.
