Job Description
Participate in the development of a fully-licensed international bank located in Vanuatu (in the South Pacific) supervised and regulated by the Reserve Bank of Vanuatu, alongside a team led by an expatriate Managing Director.

Knowledge & Experience
- Banking experience would be great advantage
- Some Legal background, procedural mindset
- Fluency in written and spoken English, knowledge of French would be a plus
- Knowledge/interest about capital markets and finance desirable
- Knowledge/interest about governmental and financial regulations and laws
- Knowledge of SWIFT environment a plus
- Interest in online trading would be helpful
- Ability to travel occasionally
- Desire to live in a developing country
Formal Education & Certification
- Business or Banking Degree
- Law degree or similar
Tasks:
- Responsibility for structuring and optimizing all business processes
- Direct involvement in the development of new IT platform
- Participation in daily operation as well as in long term issues and projects
- Interaction with business partners (Regulator, Correspondents Banks, Lawyers, Service Providers)
- Some ability to sell services and basic products and his/her point of view
- Would be required to understand the bank inside out within a few month
- Advise, oversee, and train the banking staff on business processes.
- Could act as deputy GM during GM absence
- Review and approval of account opening documentation (Compliance, KYC, AML, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with all AML-related regulations in Vanuatu, as well as international standards, by continuously researching, implementing, and managing the areas of banking regulations and laws, banking policies and procedures.
