Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Bartender to join our dynamic team. You will play a key role in delivering an unforgettable drinking experience, showcasing the unique character of our signature rums and innovative cocktails. If you thrive in a lively, customer-focused environment and have a love for mixology and local culture, this position is for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Craft and serve a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, with a special focus on our premium craft rum, following standard recipes and techniques.
- Engage with guests, take orders, and serve drinks and snacks, elevating their experience with your expert knowledge of our rum varieties and the distilling process.
- Make personalized drink recommendations based on guests’ preferences and introduce them to our unique offerings.
- Ensure responsible service of alcohol, including checking identification to verify legal drinking age.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting bar area, creating a welcoming environment for all guests.
- Manage bar inventory and supplies, with an emphasis on using local and sustainable ingredients.
- Accurately handle transactions and maintain a balanced cash drawer.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a bartender, with a strong passion for rum and mixology.
- Proficiency in crafting and garnishing drinks, particularly rum-based cocktails.
- Strong organizational skills to ensure the bar is always well-stocked and clean.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions; experience with point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to tell the story behind our rums and connect with guests.
- High school diploma required; additional certifications in mixology or hospitality are an advantage.
- Flexibility to work a mix of daytime shifts, with some evening events, weekends, and holidays.
