PVIS is fortunate to be supported with Special Category Visas for the specialist highly qualified teachers it employs. As we are about to renew the following positions and visas, we again invite applications from suitably qualified ni-Vanuatu citizens:
- Assistant Principal (Secondary) & SACE Coordinator
- Primary School Teacher (Australian Curriculum)
PVIS is an independent, co-educational EEC to Year 12 school located in Port Vila, Vanuatu with a student population of approximately 400 students. More than 50% of our students are ni-Vanuatu. We employ local (63%) and international (37%) staff. The school is proud to provide and facilitate the provision of scholarships to local students with an average annual value of 14 million vatu.
We teach the Australian Curriculum from early learning through to Year 10. We teach the SACE (South Australian Certificate of Education) at Year 11 and 12 (the last year of school in Australia. For this reason it is essential that our teachers have tertiary teaching qualifications (ordinarily 4 years university and confirmed eligibility to register to teach in Australia, NZ, US etc.) and experience delivering best practice Australian Curriculum-based education, with the capacity to adapt for the Vanuatu context.
