The Shefa Provincial Government Council wishes to recruit a suitable Candidate for the Position below.
ASSISTANT LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER
Location: Head Office, Port Vila
Team: Compliance Unit
Responsible to: Law Enforcement Coordinator
Post No.: 0523
Category Scale: PGO 1.5
Position Profile: To assist the Law Enforcement officer to enforce the Council by laws and Acts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Must work hard to assist the Senior Law Enforcement officer and Coordinator to enforce the Council bye laws
- Planning awareness and consultations in area council or communities
- Asist the law enforcement officer to draft by laws
- Ensure to enforce Physical Planning Act, Fisheries regulation, Financial regulation, waste management act and other related government regulation
- File court cases for the Council
- Other duties required by your superior.
Requirements:
- Must have a qualification of General Education Diploma or Bachelor degree
- At least 3 – 5 years of experience
- Computer literate
- Communication skills
- Be able to work as a team member
- Must have problem solving skills
- Decision making skills
- Must have technical skills to gather evidence etc.
