Contract ASSISTANCE ON AN ADVERTISEMENT FOR CONSULTANCY
Job Description
This Local Consultant to Collect Data in preparation of the National Inventory of Banks of Used of Unwanted Controlled substances and a National Plan for these substances in Vanuatu. This is contract based and will be from July – December 2025 only so 5 months top.
Qualifications would be:
ACADEMIC:
- At least Bachelor’s degree in science, environment, engineering, energy, management, business, public policy, international relations or other relevant areas. Other academic qualification in combination with qualifying 2 years working experience in related field may be accepted in lieu of the bachelor’s degree.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- At least 2 years professional experience in the field of the Montreal Protocol or refrigeration and air-conditioning (RAC) sector or climate change or energy efficiency
- Experiences in working with international organizations or international NGOs at the country/regional level;
Experiences in developing reports, organizing technical workshops, stakeholder consultations at national level - Experience in field/national data collection, analysis and reporting is an advantage
- Experience in working on the Montreal Protocol related areas is an advantage
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Relevant IT skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) are required
LANGUAGE:
- Fluency in written and spoken English and local language is required
