TOURISM BUSINESS SUPPORT PROGRAM

The Department of Tourism is seeking to employ a PROGRAM CO-ORDINATOR to manage this program.

Program Objectives:

• To technically support and financially assist tourism businesses in the short term to survive the impact of the COVID 19 crises and to ensure they are business ready once border restrictions are lifted.
• To provide technical support and financial assistance in the medium term for business operations in infrastructure improvements, marketing and training.
• To encourage tourism businesses to align with the Vanuatu Sustainable Tourism Policy (2019-2030) by following the principles of sustainable and responsible tourism, including product diversification, increased local benefits, safe business operations, energy efficiency, waste management and water conservation.

Specification of Duties:
The TBS Program Coordinator must have a background in banking with a sound knowledge of financial management and credit risk analysis. Previous work experience within the tourism industry would be an advantage.
