Contract LOGISTICS, WAREHOUSE AND FLEET MANAGEMENT TECHNICAL ASSISTANT
Job Description
It is anticipated that this position will be for four months, with three weeks break in December and January.
Responsibilities:
- Build DoWR national and provincial staff capacity to use procedures outlined in the new warehouse and logistics Standard Operating Procedures
- Train and Mentor DoWR staff to manage fleet and assets
- Create and Train staff of fleet, asset, logistics and warehouse forms
- Ensure compliance with PSC fleet policy and Department of Finance Guidelines and arrange for trainings from both PSC and Department of Finance as required
- Design workplan each month in coordination with Project Planning & Coordination Officer, Logistics Officers and Provincial Water Supervisors
- Submit monthly workplans and progress reports to the Director of the Department of Water Resources, UNICEF and Project Planning & Coordination Officer with invoices
- Review DoWR safety and security procedures and update Standard Operating Procedures
Minimum Qualifications and Competencies:
- 5 years logistics, warehouse and fleet management experience
- Experience building government staff capacity
- Experience with the DoWR logistics Standard Operating Procedures
- Lead by example of professional office behaviour by working from 8 to 5 each day in the office
Reporting lines:
- This position will be managed by the Project Planning & Coordination Officer. The Project Planning & Coordination Officer should have weekly meetings to review progress on the workplan and support needed.
