Full-Time Senior Transmission Engineer
Job Description
Telecom Vanuatu Limited is seeking a Senior Transmission Engineer for its Network Department to be based in Port Vila.
Missions
- Must ensure TVL transmission and cellular networks are operating with highest level of availability, performance and efficiency
- To design, install, optimize, operate and maintain of TVL Microwave Transmission Network.
Activities:
- Installation, Commissioning, Supervision and Maintenance of digital microwave
- Assist in the project management of Transmission Network deployment
- Assist in Transmission Planning and Optimisation
- Installation, Maintenance and Repair of VSAT Equipment in the C-band and Kuband including customer terminals
- Supervision and maintenance of TVL Satellite Earth Station at Independence Park and Elluk Hill
- Installation and Commissioning of 3G network, including 3G node Bs
- Installation, Supervision and Maintenance of TVL Mobile network (2G/3G/4G)
Competences:
- Knowledge
- Bachelor in Electrical/Electronic and communication engineering or Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent
- At least five years professional experience in Telecommunication field
- Good knowledge in Digital microwave transmission
- Good Knowledge on IP Network fundamental (IP layer 2 switching)
- Skills
- Fluent English/ French and Bislama
- Good writing and verbal skills
- At least 3 year experience in Radio Frequency engineering
- Drivers Licence
- Personal characteristics

- Good communication skills including knowledge sharing ability
