Hardware Store Manager – Trade & Farm Santo
Location: Luganville, Santo, Vanuatu
Trade & Farm Santo is seeking a motivated and experienced Hardware Store Manager to lead our hardware operations and drive business growth. This is a full-time position based in Santo and requires the successful candidate to relocate and live in Santo on a permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the hardware store.
- Lead, supervise, and motivate store staff to achieve business objectives.
- Generate sales and implement strategies to grow revenue and improve customer satisfaction.
- Ensure excellent customer service at all times.
- Maintain stock levels, oversee inventory control, and coordinate ordering of products.
- Monitor store presentation, merchandising, and cleanliness.
- Prepare sales reports and assist with budgeting and business planning.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety standards, and operational procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
- Certificate or Diploma in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in hardware retail, building supplies, or a similar management role.
- Proven experience in managing staff and leading a successful team.
- Strong sales, leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
- Good organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in stock control, inventory management, and retail operations.
- Must be willing to relocate and live in Santo on a full-time basis.
- Must be willing to work overtime when required to meet business needs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and point-of-sale (POS) systems is an advantage.
