Job Vacancy – Head Accountant
Trade & Farm is seeking an experienced and motivated Head Accountant to join our team in Luganville, Santo.
This is a permanent position based in Santo. The successful candidate must be willing to relocate and live in Santo permanently.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and supervise the accounting team.
- Prepare, review, and analyze monthly and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws, accounting standards, and statutory reporting requirements.
- Develop, implement, and maintain sound financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial planning.
- Liaise with external auditors, banks, government agencies, and other regulatory bodies.
- Provide accurate financial reporting and strategic advice to support business decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
