Full-Time CREDIT OFFICER
Job Description
Based in Port Vila and reporting to the Corporate Services Manager, you will be responsible for assessing credit applications prior to submission to the Credit Manager for final decision.
Responsibilities:
- Checking documentation thoroughly for completeness and accuracy.
- Completing servicing calculator to confirm serviceability pass in line with Credit Policy.
- Conducting due diligence on payslips and bank statements.
- Assessing and providing recommendation on loan applications, whether to approve or decline.
- Contacting agents and/or customers of deferred applications for additional information to complete normal assessment process.
- Ensuring applications are in compliance with company Credit Policy and responsible lending practices.
Your credentials and characteristics should include:
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a similar role with a financial institution.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with risk management and credit policies.
- Strong analytical and credit assessment skills.
- Possess a strong work ethic with an unwavering focus on regulatory compliance and credibility.
- Trustworthy with a high level of integrity and ethical standards.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Disciplined time management and an ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Be highly motivated and prepared to work long hours and/or Saturdays when required.
- A team play who demonstrates the appropriate corporate image and actions at all times.
