Accounts Payable Officer

Rapid Electrical is seeking to recruit a Accounts Payable Officer to be based in Port Vila, Vanuatu.
The Accounts Payable Officer is responsible keeping track of all payments and expenditures, including payroll, purchase orders, invoices, statements, etc. Reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances . Maintaining historical records. Paying vendors by scheduling pay checks and ensuring payment is received for outstanding credit; generally responding to all vendor enquiries regarding finance. Preparing analyses of accounts and producing monthly reports.

Criteria:

• Must have at least 3 to 5 years’ experience in this field
• Good knowledge of any computerized accounting systems.
• Good spoken and written English, French speaking is an advantage.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent computer skills in excel, word and other software would be an advantage
• Able to work under supervision.
• Ability to prepare financial reports on monthly basis.
• Honest & reliable
• Able to work as part of a team
• Able to work weekends and public holidays.
• Willingness to comply with all company policies and uphold standards for service quality.
