Consultant Opportunity – Development of Water Safety Standard

The Utilities Regulatory Authority (URA) is seeking a qualified and experienced Consultant to lead the development of its Water Safety Standard for regulated water utilities in Vanuatu. This is a short-term consultancy position with engagement over a 3-month period.

Key Requirements:

• A degree in Environmental Engineering, Public Health, Water Resource Management, or a related field.
• At least seven (7) years of relevant experience in water safety or standards development
• Strong familiarity with WHO Water Safety Planning and the Pacific water context.
• Demonstrated experience working with regulatory bodies and utility sectors.
• Skills in standards drafting, inspection procedures, compliance enforcement, and stakeholder consultations.
• Strong facilitation, analytical, and technical writing abilities.

Total Duration: 3 months (Expected completion within 12 weeks of commencement)
