INTEGRATED MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER

Vodafone Vanuatu is seeking an Integrated Marketing and Communications officer based in Port Vila.

Mission:
To develop and execute integrated marketing and communications strategies that effectively promote Vodafone’s brand, enhance its reputation, and drive engagement with target audiences. The mission is to ensure seamless coordination and alignment across various marketing and communication channels, including branding, digital platforms, sponsorships, events, and overall messaging. By integrating these efforts, the officers aim to create a consistent and impactful brand presence, amplifying key messages, and deliver compelling content that resonates with stakeholders and customers.

Key Responsibilities

A. Communication

  • Implementing communication strategies that effectively convey key messages to target audiences.
  • Creating and overseeing the production of communication materials such as press releases, website content and social media posts.
  • Managing internal communication channels and ensuring consistent and timely communication within the organization.

B. Digital marketing

  • Implementing marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness, generate leads, and drive customer engagement.
  • Managing Vodafone’s online presence and user experience
  • Overseeing social media channels, creating, and scheduling content, monitoring engagement, and implementing social media advertising campaigns
  • Utilizing email marketing campaigns to communicate with target audiences and promote relevant content and offerings.
  • Analyzing digital marketing performance metrics, such as site traffic, conversion rates, social media engagement, to measure the effectiveness of digital campaigns and make data driven decisions.

C. Branding

  • To take charge of the Outdoor branding work as per the company’s guidelines.
  • Ensure Vodafone’s brand presence been done always in a positive way and protection of the interest of the company is the main priority.
  • Taking care of the branding work – retail branding, hoarding, billboards etc. with the supplier and maintain a strong relation with them to get the best value always.
  • Checking all the brand communication prior to the execution at marketing level.
  • Manage internal branding and communication relation with core team for SMS marketing.

D. Event and Sponsorship

  • Planning and coordinating events including community events, sponsorship events, Vodafone events, product launches, and promotional activities Managing event logistics, such as venue selection, vendor coordination, budgeting, and onsite execution.
  • Developing event marketing and communication plans to drive attendance and engagement.
  • Identifying and pursuing sponsorship opportunities that align with the organization’s goal and target audience.
  • Negotiating sponsorship agreements and managing relationships with sponsors
  • Maximizing the visibility and impact of sponsorship through effective activation strategies Functional relations (interactivity):
  • Conducting market research and analysis to inform market and communication strategies.
  • Monitoring and analyzing the performance of marketing communication initiatives and providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborating with cross functional teams such as sales, product, and design to ensure alignment and consistency across all marketing and communication efforts.
  • Managing relationships with external agencies, vendors, and stakeholders to support marketing and communication initiatives.

Required knowledge and experience:

1. Qualifications (education/diplomas):

  • Bachelor’s degree in business studies or related discipline.
  • Have a Valid Driver’s License is an advantage.

2. Knowledge and competencies

  • Brand management – proficiency in brand development, brand positioning and consistency areas all marketing communication channels.
  • Digital marketing expertise – strong knowledge in digital marketing tools including SEO, SEM social media marketing, content marketing
  • Communication skills – excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to craft compelling messages and adapt communication style to different audiences.

3. Skills

  • Excellent oral and written skills in English and Bislama. French is also favourable.
  • Knowledge in communication phasing
  • Knowledge in Branding
  • Good understanding of media plan and communication plan
  • Understanding of telecom technology and market
  • Understanding of market sizing and segmentation
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and communication skills
