Job Description

The Shipping Clerk (Wharf Tally Officer) will primarily be responsible to reconcile all wharf cargo receipts and cargo dispatches as per designated shipping orders. They will work under the supervision of the Wharf Foreman in tally general cargo, container loading and unloading. They will be responsible to process documents to the Wharf Area in accordance with shipment authorisation forms forwarded by freight forwarders and shipping agents. Supervise general labourers loading containers and vessels , prepare documents and files as required accurately in a timely and efficient manner.
