ICT PRE-SALES ENGINEER
About the Role
Vodafone Vanuatu is seeking a highly motivated ICT Pre-Sales Engineer to join our team in Port Vila. This role involves providing pre-sales support, designing, costing, and implementing ICT solutions for our business customers. The ICT Pre-Sales Engineer will also be responsible for post-sales support of ICT solutions deployed at customer premises and cloud-based services.This position requires a strong technical background, problem-solving skills, and customer engagement experience to ensure the successful delivery of innovative and cost-effective ICT solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
➢ Pre-Sales & Solution Design:
- Work closely with the Sales and Corporate team to understand customer needs and design customized ICT solutions that meet business requirements.
- Develop technical proposals, cost estimates, and solution presentations for SMEs, corporate, and government clients.
- Identify and source high-quality ICT products and services from different vendors, analysing
and evaluating them for optimal solutions.
➢ Implementation & post-sales Support:
- Participate in the deployment of ICT solutions, ensuring smooth implementation and integration into the customer environment.
- Provide technical support, maintenance, and troubleshooting of deployed solutions.
- Act as the primary escalation point for technical issues and coordinate with internal teams for resolution.
➢ Customer Engagement & Project Management:
- Maintain strong relationships with key accounts by proactively identifying opportunities for
service improvement. - Manage ongoing ICT projects, ensuring timely completion and customer satisfaction.
- Deliver high-quality product demonstrations and technical training for clients.
➢ Technical Research & Training:
- Stay updated on emerging ICT trends, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and networking
solutions. - Conduct internal training sessions to enhance team capabilities and knowledge-sharing.
- Ensure adherence to industry best practices in ICT service delivery.
➢ Reporting & Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of customer engagements, project progress, and system configurations.
- Produce weekly and monthly reports on sales leads, solution deployments, and support activities.
Competences:
1. Knowledge
- Degree or Certification in Telecommunications, ICT, Computer Science, or a related field. Minimum five (5) years of experience in Telecommunications, ICT, or Networking.
- Strong knowledge of ICT infrastructure, networking, cloud services, and cybersecurity.
- Familiarity with platforms such as Microsoft 365, Cisco, VMware, AWS, and other ICT services.
2. Skills
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to develop technical proposals and solution documentation.
- Strong communication skills (written & verbal) in English, French, and Bislama.
- Ability to deliver presentations, product demonstrations, and training.
- Customer-focused with a strong understanding of business needs and ICT service delivery.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Valid Driver’s License required.
