Job Opportunity: Farm Manager for Kava Plantation – Teouma Group
The Teouma Group, Vanuatu’s leading agricultural company, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Farm Manager to oversee our kava plantation operations. This role is based on Epi Island, a remote but stunningly beautiful location, ideal for outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy fishing, hunting, and immersing themselves in nature.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of kava production, including planting, growing, harvesting, packaging, and shipping of roots for sale.
- Maintain accurate and clear accounting reports for kava sales using computer software.
- Manage and supervise the maintenance and repair of tractors and other agricultural equipment, ensuring smooth farm operations.
- Provide hands-on leadership and ensure best practices in crop management, with a focus on root crops like kava.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in crop farming, preferably with root crops.
- Solid computer skills, including the ability to generate accounting and operational reports.
- Basic mechanical knowledge of farm equipment to oversee maintenance and repair tasks.
- A passion for the outdoors and adaptability to a remote location with limited urban amenities.
