Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Machine Operator (Food Processing) to join our team at Forney Enterprises, Luganville, Santo, As the an operations technician, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of production systems within our facilities by assisting to oversee shift operations, ensuring health, safety, and quality standards are met. Additionally, you’ll drive continuous improvement initiatives and optimize production costs aligned with business objective

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day operation management of the company’s food production facility, ensuring health safety, and quality standards are met and customer requirements are achieved.
  • Support and drive continuous improvement initiatives in production, aligning with business objectives to optimize network cost and utilization.
  • Set KPIU, develop new food- production standards, operation procedures (SOP)
  • Draft capacity plans to evaluation sustainability of new or modified manufacturing processes
  • Exemplify companies business mission and vision, inspiring work place principles
  • Engage, lead, motivate and develop the team through effective people management strategies, ensuring the capability of individuals to achieve team and overall site objectives.
  • Lead key production processes in compliance with budget schedule, quality control and cross department coordination.
  • Management manpower requirement, raw materials, and ingredient resources to meet projection objectives

Qualifications:

  • High level understanding of food production, including associate quality and regulatory assurance frameworks,
  • Proven experience in devising processing procedures for new products
  • Highly developed planning and organization skills, including ability to manage conflicting priorities
  • Proficiency in problem solving and adeptness in working within a fast paced environment ensuring efficient resource allocation
  • Strong documentation and record keeping skills
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • A sound understanding of workplace health and safety (WHS), HACCP and food safety regulations.
