TELECOMMUNICATIONS AND CUSTOMER SUPPORT SPECIALIST
Vodafone Vanuatu is seeking for a Telecommunications and Customer Support Specialist based in Santo.
Mission
This position is responsible for providing comprehensive technical support and customer service to internal and external customers. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of telecommunications systems, including PABX systems, as well as IT systems administration experience and proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications. He will be responsible for troubleshooting technical issues, resolving customer inquiries, and maintaining the smooth operation of our telecommunications and IT infrastructure.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Technical Support:
- Provide technical support to internal and external customers via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of technical issues related to telecommunications systems (PABX, phones, voicemail), IT systems (hardware, software, network), and Microsoft 365 applications.
- Diagnose and resolve IT system issues, including hardware, software, and network problems.
- Install, configure, and maintain telecommunications and IT equipment.
- Document technical issues and solutions for future reference.
2. Customer Service:
- Provide exceptional customer service to all inquiries, ensuring timely, accurate, and professional responses.
- Handle customer complaints and escalate complex issues to the appropriate level.
- Maintain a positive and helpful attitude, even in challenging situations.
- Build strong relationships with customers to foster trust and loyalty.
3. System Administration:
- Perform regular maintenance and updates to telecommunications and IT systems.
- Monitor system performance and identify potential issues before they impact users.
- Implement security measures to protect data and systems from unauthorized access.
- Manage user accounts and access permissions for telecommunications, IT systems, and Microsoft 365.
- Stay up to date on the latest telecommunications, IT, and Microsoft 365 technologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in a technical support or IT system administration role.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong understanding of telecommunications systems, including PABX systems and VoIP technologies.
- Familiarity with IT systems administration, including hardware, software, and networking concepts.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows, Linux, and other operating systems.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 applications (e.g., Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online) is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
