GROUP LOGISTICS & INVENTORY CONTROLLER
Magenta Holdings Limited, an importer, wholesaler, and retailer of FMCG products invites applications for the position of Group Logistics & Inventory Controller to be based in Vanuatu. The Group Logistics & Inventory Controller will play an important role in improving and maintaining the operations, inventory and logistics of the company including international shipping. The Group Logistics & Inventory Controller will ensure the company has the capacity
and structure to meet its expansion plans as well as maintaining sound control.
The Group Logistics & Inventory Controller is responsible for:
- Perform counts and ensure all inventory is accounted for and reported according to company policy
- Maintain adequate inventory levels to meet customer demand
- Investigate and correct discrepancies in reported quantities and locations of all inventory
- Assess inventory output on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis to identify trends in productivity
- Manage cycle counts of product inventories on a regular basis
- Lead others in safe work practices, especially when in a distribution center environment
- Monitor delivery schedule and customer orders
- Place and receive orders in a timely and accurate manner
- File claims when defective products are discovered
- Check date-sensitive products for expiration and facilitate removal or transfer of product as needed
- Perform process and system testing and track performance by area to locate and solve problems in data integrity, productivity, and efficiency
- Establish trusted relationships with suppliers to ensure quality service and cost-effective deals
- Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer services
- Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle
- Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, and consumers
- Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
- Arrange warehouse, catalog goods, plan routes and process shipments
- Resolve any arising problems or complaints
- Meet cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets
- Comply with laws, regulations, and ISO requirements
Requirements
- Minimum of 10years experience in a FMCG company
- Minimum of 5years experience in working with a board of directors
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a logistics manager
- Proven skills in warehouse and inventory management
- Record of successful distribution and logistics management
- Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple warehouses and storage centers
- Demonstrated ability to manage, train and supervise staffs
- Proficiency with office computer equipment and software’s
- Ability to work 7 days a week including public holidays
- Demonstrated ability to multitask
- Understanding of FMCG brands and distribution agreements
