Job Description
GENERAL MANAGER
Magenta Holdings Limited, an importer, wholesaler and retailer of FMCG products invites applications for the position of General Manager to be based in Vanuatu.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and vision to the company
- Assisting the directors and staff by establishing short term, long term and annual
plans and with evaluation and reporting of progress on plans - Recruitment and training of company staff
- Employee relations
- Ensuring compliance to regulatory concerns
- Ensuring market wide distribution of agency lines
- Opening of new markets
- Ensuring growth in the current market
- Customer relations
- New product development
- Regular achievement of company budgets
- Debtors’ collection
- Implement effective internal control policies
- Liaising with financial institutions and government agencies
- Purchasing and imports
- Acquiring new distribution agencies.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in senior management in a FMCG company
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in sales and marketing
- Ability to negotiate new distribution lines and agencies
- Proven record of good business management
- A minimum of a Degree in Finance and sales and Marketing
- Proven skills in business and finance management
- Demonstrated ability to manage, train and supervise staffs
- Proficiency with office computer equipment and software
- Ability to work 7 days a week including public holidays
- Ability to understand competition and competitors and take action to manage market competition.
- Demonstrated ability to multi task
- Valid Driving license.
