Climate Action Officer
The Vanuatu Red Cross Society, is seeking applications from dynamic and highly motivated persons to immediately fill up the position of Climate Action Officer
Job location: VRCS Headquarter, Port Vila, Efate Vanuatu
Applicants are required to demonstrate the following:
- Proven ability to work as part of a team
- Cultural sensitivity, gender diversity, and ability to respect and work well with people from different genders, background and disciplines.
- Leadership quality with coaching ability, mentoring, good listener and accountable
Qualifications and profile required
- Work experience in the field of climate/environment.
- Voluntary service, or activism in this field.
- Work at community, national and regional levels, or at least two of these.
- Knowledge of the Red Cross/Red Crescent and/or humanitarian organizations.
- Confident and capable public speaker.
- Have more than five years of work experiences in climate change, programs which includes climate change or a very good background in climate change.
Knowledge and skills
- Understanding of policy making processes
- Good communications ability – speaking, presenting, writing
Remuneration
Salary will be based on your experience and qualification.
