Full-Time RESORT GENERAL MANAGER

Job Description

Ramada By Wyndham Port Vila (RBWPV) is seeking suitable candidates to appoint for the following position. The main purpose of these positions is to be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, managing, and controlling all activities within the Resort scope of operations here at RBWPV.

                            RESORT GENERAL MANAGER 

Reporting to the Managing Director/ Board of Directors, you will ensure consistent strategies towards the financial projection of the Resort. You will be responsible for the daily operations of the Resort, managing profitability and sales while creating a strong and professional culture and work environment.

The successful candidate must have a proven ability to run a profitable business and have the
confidence to network at all levels and in all sectors to develop strong partnerships.

The successful candidate will have the following attributes:

  • Identify and implanting opportunities for increasing the revenue base if the Resort
  • Reporting to the MB/Board and implementing strategic direction
  • Review of finances and KPI’s ensuring financial outcomes are in line with budgets and identifying cash flow efficiencies
  • Implement marketing strategies focusing on revenue growth
  • Management of staff and human resource capabilities
  • Asset Management ensuring assets and property are well maintained and are presented in keeping within the high standards and reputation of the Resort.
  • Occupational health and safety
  • Interpreting and compliance with legal, legislative and statutory requirements of the Resort
  • Manage & assist with Resort policies and procedures
  • Operations management
  • Daily & Monthly reporting to stakeholders

The successful candidate will have the following attributes:

  • Previous experience in GM positions in 4-5 star
  • Proven experience in driving Revenue with Sales and Marketing
  • Successful in developing and implementing business strategies
  • Strong understanding and experience in business acumen
  • Proven ability to deliver on set targets
  • Immaculate personal presentation and pride in appearance
  • Passion and drive for training and developing staff
  • Across all relevant compliance and industry regulations
  • Proven experience in driving Food and Beverage revenue
  • Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
  • Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
  • Mastery in delegating multiple tasks
  • Communication and leadership skills
