VACANCY
NETWORK SUPPORT ENGINEER

Vodafone Vanuatu is seeking for a Network Support Engineer to be based in Port Vila.

Main Mission

As a Network Support Engineer, the main mission will be to:

• Ensure that Vodafone Vanuatu Network availability SLA are properly maintained.
• Ensure all the Network down and issues getting resolved within agreed SLA for the Vodafone ISP and MPLS Network.
• Consult on the network best practices to be maintained on the MPLS and ISP network .

Main duties:

1. Assist with all the network issue and problems reported on Vodafone ISP and MPLS network.
2. Maintain the network uptimes are operating according to the agreed SLA.
3. Consult operations teams to apply and follow network best practices inside the ISP and MPLS network.
4. Raise RMA and Support tickets with ISP/MPLS devices vendor parties and closely follow up them
5. Upgrade ISP/MPLS network devices to the latest releases.
6. Knowledge share with the Vodafone network team on the current network topology and technologies.
7. Conduct network best practices workshops for vodafone ISP/MPLS engineering staff.
8. Mange all the MPLS traffic engineering technologies up to date.
9. Apply best network redundancy practices to the Vodafone ISP/MPLS Network.
10. Design and apply I-MPLS circuits.

Qualifications & Competences:
1. Academic qualifications and knowledge

• BSc degree Engineering from recognised institution. MSc degree will be an advantage.
• CCNA certification is required. CCNP certification is desired
• Hands on’ experience on routing protocols (OSPF,ISIS, EIGRP and BGP)
• Experience and knowledge in MPLS/LDP/RSVP protocols
• Excellent knowledge on network security and ISP network best practices
• ‘Hands on’ experience in ISP and Broadband network technologies
• ‘Hands on’ experience in cisco EPNM system

2. Other skills

• Capable of training a team
• Excellent in resolving network issues
• Excellent communication skills both written and spoken
• Result-oriented
• Work under pressure to meet deadlines
• Self-learner and eager to take challenges
• Valid driving license is a must
