VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT (SHORT-TERM)

LANGUATE & CULTURE FACILITATOR

Peace Corps Vanuatu wishes to recruit one or more Language & Culture Facilitators. The
Language & Culture Facilitator (LCF) will plan, implement, and monitor the language and culture
components of a 10-week pre-service training for American Peace Corps Volunteers.

Work Hours: Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM, plus weekends on duty at the Peace Corps training site in Epau, North Efate

Candidates must be exclusively available for full time work between 8 July – 4 October 2024.

Requirements: Applicants for this position must demonstrate the following capabilities:

• Year 12 certificate
• Fluency – written and oral – in English and Bislama
• Understanding and deep appreciation of Vanuatu culture, including the full range of
  traditional Vanuatu customs and protocols
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills
• Flexible, creative, motivated, and self-directed
• Experience in culturally diverse settings

Desired Qualifications:

• Tertiary degree in any area related to education or language learning
• Experience teaching Bislama, English, or another language to adults
