Job Description
The University
The National University of Vanuatu (NUV) was established in January 2020. Its main campus is located in Port Vila and its purpose is to provide higher education advancement and lifelong learning through academic and professional excellence by way of training, teaching and learning in both the English and French official languages, research and international cooperation. The NUV has two Faculties – the Faculty of Humanities with five schools and the Faculty of Science and Technology also with five Schools established.
The Role – Vice Chancellor
A progressive educational leader who thrives on driving excellence and learning, the Vice-Chancellor will ensure the management of affairs, finances and resources are in accordance with the regulations of the University and are used in ways that most effectively advance the approved mission and strategic plan of the University. They will report to the NUV Council and ensure the promotion and implementation of bilingualism in the two recognized languages of the university.
The Role – Deputy Vice-Chancellor
A strong administrative leader who has expertise in supporting processes to enable excellence and learning, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor will assist the Vice-Chancellor to carry out his or her functions.
