Seeking Purchasing Manager
Idyllic resort property in Vanuatu and part of the Wyndham Worldwide Group, is seeking a Purchasing Managing. Reporting to the Chief Financial Controller, the duties for this role will include:

- Develop and maintain relationship with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing
- Conduct stock-takes at the stores and food and beverage outlets
- Maintain stock levels and storage areas and management of inventory allocation and distribution
- Ensure standardisation of systems, equipment and consumables and implement changes to reduce cost and minimize waste
- Manage incoming and outgoing goods and also assist with the allocation of inventory
- Contact suppliers to obtain information on price, quality and delivery capabilities for the supply of goods and services
- Submit recommendations to company officers regarding potential new products and sources
- Determine suitability of products and place orders
- Ensure orders placed are delivered in a timely and efficient manner
- Ensures the proper management of procurement department operations in the absence of the Head of department
- Carries out all necessary procurement activities
- Verifies quantification of orders
- Submits final invoices to the Finance and Accounts Department
- Perform other related duties and assignment as required by the Management.
Criteria:
Interested applicant must possess the following criteria:
- 1 year + or related experience in hotel and/ or catering procurements role.
- Computer literate, micros will be as added advantage
- Can adopt to work environment with less supervision and work on weekends & public holiday if required
- Liaise professionally with customers and fellow staff alike
- High level problem solving capabilities
- Must be fluent in English. French and Bislama is a plus
- Must be proactive and very organized
- Driving license is desirable.
