EXPRESSION OF INTREST
Road Improvement Service Contract
Background
The Department of Tourism is seeking contactors for the road improvement of the Loru Conservation Road (East Santo).
Loru Conservation Area covers 220 hectares and contains one of the last patches of lowland forest remaining on Santo’s east coast. There are several excellent nature walks, many coconut crabs and a bat cave, which the villagers use as a cyclone shelter.
A pilot project the Department of Tourism is carrying out with key partners involves the development of tours to such initiatives as the Loru Conservation Area.
Task objective
The objective of the contract is to obtain the service from a reputed, experience and qualified contractor who can provide efficient work on the improvement of Loru Road
Scope of Work
The Contractor works includes:
I. Road Repair
II. Clear unused gravels/Soil
Work Details
I. Road Repair
Improve the current road status by providing more layer of gravels
II. Clear unused gravels/Soil
Clear unused gravels/soil for the area to ensure a safe access environment for visitors
Employment Structure
The contractor shall provide experience personal as workers.
Health and Safety
The Contractor shall take reasonable care of their staff health and safety as well as that of other persons who may be affected by their activities.
Security
The contractor must hold record of their staff details, the contractor shall provide. List of staffs showing the name and address of everyone who is involved in the performance of contract.
Timeline
The contract will commence from 3rd March 2020.
Budget
The Contractor shall submit a financial plan to the Department of Tourism as expression of interest for the work.
