Kingsmen barber shop is a newly barber shop in town. We are looking for a full time Senior Hair Specialist.
We are looking for creative candidates with an eye for design for the position of senior hair specialist. Hair stylist duties include consulting clients on hair styling options, describing the benefits of different hair care products, persuading clients to buy their retails products and staying update on their latest hair trends and styling methods.
Additionally hair specialist needs to be an expert ‘people person’ to attract and retain long term customers. This requires good interpersonal and conversational skills.
Hair stylist Responsibility
- Consulting with clients on stylist options for their hair
- Describing different hair care products and their benefits
- Shampooing, cutting, colouring and highlighting hair
- Performing scalp treatments
- Acting as a sales person to sell clients hair care retail products
- Building a personal relationship with clients to ensure return visits
- Adhering to saloon safety and cleanliness standards
- Managing bookings and welcoming clients into the store
- Keeping update on hairstyle trends and styling methods.
Hair stylist requirements
- Beauty hair therapist highest level certificate
- 10 years’ experience in similar position or more
- A wide pallet of styling and colouring techniques
- Proficiency with hot irons, curlers and blow dryers
- Fluent in English, Bislama and French will be an advantage
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Honest and reliable
- Good verbal communication
- Creative mindset and a good eye for design.
