We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Executive Assistant to provide administrative and secretarial support to our management team.

The Role:
We are currently seeking a Design Engineer – Electrical/Solar to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge solar PV, energy storage (BESS), and electrical design projects across the Pacific, including projects in remote and diverse locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Electrical and Solar Design: Develop and design electrical and solar PV systems, including grid-tied, off-grid, and hybrid systems with energy storage (BESS) for various projects
  • Technical Analysis: Perform detailed technical analysis and calculations to determine optimal system configurations, electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and layouts
  • Engineering Documentation: Create comprehensive engineering documents such as design reports, specifications, BOQs, and drawings in accordance with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Project Collaboration: Collaborate with project managers, construction teams, and external consultants to ensure that designs meet project objectives and comply with safety standards.
  • Compliance and Standards: Ensure that all designs are in compliance with relevant local and international standards, including IEC, AS/NZS, and relevant electrical codes.
  • Sustainability Focus: Integrate energy-efficient and sustainable solutions into designs to align with the company’s commitment to reducing environmental impact
  • Site Assessments: Conduct site visits and assessments to evaluate project feasibility, collect data, and support the development of project proposals
  • Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest solar and energy storage technologies and propose innovative solutions for improving system performance and efficiency.
  • Client Liaison: Work closely with clients to understand their needs, provide technical expertise, and present design concepts and solutions.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (Renewable Energy focus is a plus.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the energy or engineering sector.
  • Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, PVsyst, and MS Project. Familiarity with solar PV monitoring and control systems (SCADA).
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards (IEC, AS/NZS, IEEE) and electrical codes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex design challenges.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications in electrical design or renewable energy are advantageous (e.g., CPEng, MIEANZ, or equivalent).
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Experience working in remote or island-based locations is a plus.
  • Passion for renewable energy and sustainable development
