World Vision Vanuatu is seeking applications from Vanuatu citizens, people with disability, women and men to work with us to implement our Australian Government funded Water for Women project: ‘Laetem Dak Kona’.

Laetem Dak Kona Project Summary

Gender equity and social inclusion are the focus of our Laetem Dak Kona project. By working together with communities, local organisations, government and partners, the Laetem Dak Kona project will work towards supporting:

  • people with disabilities and women actively participating in community life & governance;
  • national level government committing to developing inclusive water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) policies & standards with Torba & Sanma provincial governments creating inclusive WASH facilities;
  • community, provincial, national & international stakeholders using new knowledge & effective practices identified & developed through the project.

We are recruiting for:
2 Community Liaison Officers who will live and work within the project communities in Torba Province.

Community Liaison Officers

About the role:
The Community Liaison Officer (CLO) will report to the Zonal Development Manager (ZDM). The CLO will support the delivery of the project through direct engagement with Laetem Dak Kona communities. The CLO will be expected to live and work in an LDK community for the duration of the project, building strong relationships with community members, community leaders, church groups and other stakeholders. The CLO will participate in implementing project activities, ensuring the community has a clear understanding of the project and plays a key role in achieving project outcomes.
