Seeking Chinese Speaking Guest Relations Officer
Idyllic resort property in Vanuatu and part of the Wyndham Worldwide Group, is seeking a Chinese Speaking Guest Relations Officer. Reporting to the Rooms Division Manager, the duties for this role will include:
- Providing exceptional customer service by responding to their requests promptly, efficiently and courteously during check-in, check-out and throughout their stay
- Promoting and up-selling hotel facilities through strong product knowledge
- Maintaining a high level of professionalism and ensuring procedures are followed in relation to guest confidentiality and the issuing of room keys
- Maintaining procedures in relation to credit and cash transactions and accounting documentation
- Assisting with telephone and email booking enquiries, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Looking for those moments to brighten someone’s day
- Implement quality control procedures and ensure the department is compliant with all Brand Standards
- Work within set budgets in relation to costs and ensure rosters are compiled and adjusted appropriate to demand.
Criteria:
Interested applicant must possess the following criteria:
- Computer literate, Opera Fidelio PMS software is compulsory
- Must be fluent in Chinese speaking (either Cantonese or Mandarin) & English. French and Bislama is a plus
- Must be proactive and very organized
- Proven experience within Hospitality Industry is desirable
- A keen passion for product and range development
- Exceptional team management and motivational skills
- Local and offshore experience is a plus
- A track record of consistently meeting production deadlines and ensuring product specifications and quality standards are met
- Strong presentation and communication skills, written and verbal.
