Seeking Assistant Rooms Division Manager
Idyllic resort property in Vanuatu and part of the Wyndham Worldwide Group, is seeking a Assistant Rooms Division Manager. Reporting to the Resort Manager, the duties for this role will include:
- Manage and maximise occupancy, revenue, and average rate while maintaining high service standards
- Collect and analyse data to make customer focused business decisions; ensure all teams understand and exceed customer expectations at all time
- Provide regular feedback, coaching, support and guidance to the teams in order to create a positive environment and achieve excellence and engagement within all departments
- Add value through revenue growth and operational efficiency through process improvement; understand and focus on the key drivers of sales and customer satisfaction, profitability, and quality
- Implement quality control procedures and ensure the department is compliant with all Brand Standards
- Work within set budgets in relation to wage costs and ensure rosters are compiled and adjusted appropriate to demand.
Criteria:
Interested applicant must possess the following criteria:
- Hold strong leadership skills, well organized and ability to mentor and develop team
- A collaborative approach with a strategic and analytical focus
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the hospitality sector coupled with at least 2 years in a senior people leadership role
- Highly effective communication, networking and business partnering skills
- Superior organizational, time management and follow through skills
- Ability to build, maintain and strengthen existing customer relationships with external and internal clients
- Strong financial acumen recommending budgeting strategies and managing expenses within approved budget constraints
- Computer literate, Opera Fidelio PMS software is compulsory
- Must be fluent in English. French and Bislama is a plus
- Must be proactive and very organized.
